2/27 (Ordering Closed) Tuesday Meal: Veg Kebabs, Green Beans Poriyal and Kadhi
Tuesday’s meal is an Indian vegetarian feast. The vegetable kebabs are made with red lentils, carrots, chickpea and oat flours and garam masala, served with green beans Poriyal, a South Indian dish of diced green beans fried crisp-tender with red onion, coconut, curry leaves and mustard seeds.
The meal is served with chana dal basmati rice and Kadhi, a beautiful soup/gravy made with yogurt, chickpea flour and loads of Indian spices. Truly a delight for the tastebuds!
A little fun fact: Kadhi, when pronounced sounds very much like the word “curry”, so If you tried to order a “curry” in India, this is likely what you would be served. Kadhi over rice is a true comfort food, but it can be eaten as a soup with vegetables, or served over crispy onion fritters (pakoras).
